Top News and Magazines Apps on Android in Greece, Q3 2024

In the third quarter of 2024, the top five news and magazines applications on the Android platform in Greece exhibited varied performance trends, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Medium showed a fluctuating weekly revenue pattern, peaking at around $217 in mid-August. Weekly downloads for Medium ranged from 45K to 92K, with a slight decline towards the end of the quarter. The app's active user base remained relatively stable, hovering between 498K and 609K throughout the quarter.

Bloomberg: Finance Market News experienced a notable drop in weekly revenue after an initial peak of $125 in early July, hitting a low of $9 in early September before slightly recovering to $34 by the end of September. Downloads remained steady, fluctuating between 12K and 24K, while active users saw a slight decrease from 196K to 168K.

The New York Times: Live News maintained a consistent performance with weekly revenue ranging from $28 to $96. Downloads increased to a high of 52K by the end of September, and weekly active users showed a positive trend, rising from 223K to 270K over the quarter.

The Economist - News, Podcasts showed significant revenue growth, particularly in late September, peaking at $231. Download numbers were modest, peaking at 30K in late September, while active users remained relatively stable, around 128K.

Le Monde, Live News saw a decline in weekly revenue after an initial high of $83 in early July, stabilizing around $36 by the end of September. Weekly downloads decreased from 35K to 17K, and active users fluctuated slightly, ending the quarter at 78K.
